The limit switches send a signal to the circuit board to stop the motor at a pre-determined opening height and closed position. The limit will slide to the appropriate position on the Genie rail, and can be locked into the that position with the small set screw. Genie operators have two different limit types: lever controlled limit switches that halts the motor when the metal contact has been activated, and magnetically controlled limit switches that halts the motor when the two magnet line up. COST: $20 for set.
